So you think the New Jersey Nets should give Kings' GM Geoff Petrie a call regarding DeMarcus Cousins? Well I do too. It actually seems like it could be a win-win for the Nets, something they haven't done in quite some time.
Yes, Cousins is very immature, but he's a great player with exceptional talent. When he applies himself he is an explosive player. If he really is as disruptive as the Kings' media portrays, then it shouldn't take much to pry the big man from Sacramento.
What's the worse that can happen? He doesn't want to play for the Nets? Well then that's when you try and include him in a Dwight Howard trade. An Orlando team with Cousins and Brook Lopez is surely to dominate the paint. Surely, New Jersey would include an expiring contract and even draft picks. As I said earlier, if the price is right this should be a no brainer. If the call doesn't lead to anything, at least the Nets tried for the fans.
