The End is Here and Near

It's official. The New York Jets are not playoff bound this season. With a 19-17 upset to the Miami Dolphins, the Jets are headed back to New Jersey to sulk in tears. Changes need to happen in the Jets locker room  before they can be a force to be reckoned with.
After such a terrible season, do you get rid of Mark Sanchez? Many people were exploring trying to pry Peyton Manning away from the Colts. Highly unlikely, in fact almost impossible. Besides do you really want a guy that just went through 3 neck surgeries? Do you want someone who can give you maybe 3 to 4 more seasons? If that was the case we could've kept Brett Favre. Mark Sanchez is the face of this franchise, and to see him dealt is not likely, at least not for another few seasons.
Brian Schottenheimer. Boy oh boy are you in trouble. Will the Jets utter Donald Trump's famous words of "you're fired!"? Who could take over the helms of Gang Green's offense? A possible candidate would be the current San Diego Charger's head coach Norv Turner. San Diego seems to be just about ready to call it quits with the coach and he could be a good fit for New York. If the Jets snub Turner, could they look at St. Louis Rams offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels? McDaniels is likely to be released from the Rams staff, and he too might click more with the pieces the Jets currently have.

After today's loss, Jets fans need some time of consolation prize, and from the looks of it, that prize will come at the offensive coordinators expense.
