The New York Mets have agreed to a deal with free agent shortstop Ronny Cedeno. The deal is for one year and it reportedly worth $1.2 million, but the deal has potential for more with many incentives. Come Spring Training, Cedeno will fight for the shortstop position, which currently belongs to 22 year old Ruben Tejada after Jose Reyes left the team as a free agent. Cedeno became a free agent after the Pirates declined to pick up his option.
